Flow of our practice…

WEEK 1 THEME:  Safety and Capacity

Morning 1: Recording
Morning 2: Recording (locating yourself in time)
Morning 3: Recording
(smile meditation)

Safety is the critical feature. if our nervous system detects safety then it is no longer defensive. When it is no longer defensive then the circuits of the autonomic nervous system support health, growth and restoration. It is a hierarchy and the most important thing to our nervous system is that we are safe. When we are safe, magical things occur and they occur on multiple levels. Not merely in terms of social relations but also in accessibility of certain areas of the brain. Certain areas of feeling pleasure, being expansive, being creative and being very positive as well” – Stephen Porges (originator of the polyvagal theory)

What are some of these magical things?

First: The ability to be present for and enjoy our lives.
Second: The ability to show up for the difficult things.
Third: The ability to discern what is aligned or misaligned for us.
